AORA Solar signs memoranda of understanding with two Ethiopian Universities (Sep 17, 2015)

AORA Solar, an Israeli/Spanish company developing solar-biogas technology had signed Memoranda of Understanding with Addis Ababa Science and Technology University and with the Adama Science and Technology University. In a statement on Thursday (September 17), AORA Solar said the objective for these agreements was to “promote academic cooperation for the development and advancements of renewable energy technology to support the implementation of Ethiopia’s Climate Resilient Green Economy Strategy”. The cooperation is an important element in assisting Ethiopia’s ambitious goal to become a carbon-neutral middle-income country by 2025. It would also help to bring greater energy independence to Ethiopia. “When it comes to developing renewable energy technology for Africa, collaboration is the key to innovation,” said Zev Rosenzweig, the Chief Executive of AORA. Future collaboration work will be undertaken under the guidance of the Ministries of Water, Irrigation and Energy and of Science and Technology. AORA Solar is a company which works on revolutionary solar power generation solutions and it is known in its advanced modular solar-hybrid system.
